Members of the military are highly sought after by civilian employers.  There are several skills that you will learn throughout your time in the Missouri National Guard.  A few highlights are:

Higher Education is a priority to The Missouri National Guard which is why we provide our soldiers with the best education benefit package possible.  Our soldiers serve part time, which allows them to pursue their higher education as full time students.  Some of these benefits include:

• Up to 100% Tuition Assistance to any public school in Missouri.
• Up to $742 per month tax free in GI Bill benefits while attending school full time after completion of Basic and Advanced individual training.
• A monthly pay check for their service one weekend a month.
• College credit for their military training (see below for examples).

National Guard members often make great employees in the civilian workforce.  They are individuals who have chosen to dedicate a portion of their lives to serving our nation.  They come from a place where accomplishing their mission is highly important, and they have an understanding of all the hard work and teamwork that accomplishment comes with.  Regardless of rank, there is a sense of unity and a synergy that National Guardsmen are accustomed to and these are skills that will help them succeed in the civilian workforce.
