The Lee’s Summit Journal reported that “Andrew J. Tippin has received an Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia, Mo.”
ROTC “Scholarships are awarded on a merit system in area such as academic achievement, extra curricular activities, physical fitness, specific performance or accomplishment, leadership abilities, and personal interviews.”
