Several Lee’s Summit R-7 School District students captured awards at the Greater Kansas City Science Engineering Fair, held in March. Simone Jacoby, Summit Technology Academy received the Stockholm Jr. Water Prize. In addition, several projects earned top honors. Projects earning gold or silver ribbons from Summit Technology Academy were Stephanie Echeverry and Alyssa Jones, gold ribbon for planarian project; Kevin McMilian, Brittany Wagner, Christian Greff, gold ribbon for DIY home automation project; Fatma Talib, silver ribbon for computer screen viewing project; and Samena Talib, silver ribbon for five-second rule project.
