Summit Technology Academy has launched a new “KenMo” program that has received global attention.
Kenyan Governor Kivutha Kibwana visited the Missouri Innovation Campus, home of Summit Technology Academy, earlier this week. Professor Kibwana heard from students in engineering programs, received a blood pressure check from a nursing student and took a green screen picture “from space” in the digital media technology lab.
Kivutha was interested in learning more about the new KenMo partnership, a joint effort between STA, UCM and global technology company Digloso to foster international collaboration between students, community organizations, businesses and government agencies in Kenya and Missouri.
Summit Technology Academy’s international studies students will telecommunicate with students from the Makueni Innovation Campus in Kenya to brainstorm and implement solutions to community issues.
