LSR7’s Summit Technology Academy is receiving national attention for developing the next generation of leaders in the aerospace industry.

Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Steve Dickson visited STA on June 28 to tour the facility and learn more about the STA Aerospace Academy, which launches with the 2021-2022 school year.

“These students right here are our future,” said FAA Administrator Dickson. “We welcome their energy and enthusiasm as they grow through their studies. This is one of the most exciting times to start life-long learning and a career in aerospace.”

The tour showcased the success of STA’s programs to demonstrate the future potential of the Aerospace Academy. STA’s interdisciplinary approach has students learning across different programs to prepare for their future through the 4 Cs: critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.
