On Tuesday, April 7, voters overwhelmingly endorsed our school district’s $40 million no-tax-increase bond issue. The bond issue was approved by almost 80 percent, and we are grateful to the many individuals who took the time to go to the polls on Tuesday to show their support for the projects included in this ballot issue…

We are excited about breaking ground for the new Summit Technology Academy / Missouri Innovation Campus as well as beginning the many building improvements at schools throughout our district. Thanks to voters, we are able to better protect our community’s investment in our existing schools while expanding the nationally recognized Summit Tech and MIC through our partnership with the University of Central Missouri. It is a great situation all around since we are also able to save an estimated $9 million over the next 20 years by moving away from our current leased space for STA / MIC to a building owned by our district.
