Four students from the Lee’s Summit R-7 Missouri Innovation Campus recently participated in 
graduation ceremonies at Metropolitan Community College, earning their associate degrees. Students pictured with Dr. Kirk Nooks of MCC are (from left) Matt Orson, Jezreel Nyange, Jason Cain and Cooper Leabo. Jason and Cooper are 2015 high-school graduates. Matt and Jez are 2014 high-school graduates. Through the Missouri Innovation Campus, located within Lee’s Summit R-7’s Summit Technology Academy, students are able to accelerate the time it takes to graduate from college and participate in high-tech paid internships while dramatically reducing the cost of a four-year degree.
