Emma Bailey is considering a career in nursing. Luke Litton is a kindergarten student at Richardson Elementary.

The two met this week thanks to a grant from the Greater Lee’s Summit Healthcare Foundation, which provided money to purchase vision screening equipment. The equipment brings district vision screening up to date and helps students learn while they help their fellow students.

Bailey is a senior at Raymore Peculiar High School. She is enrolled in the Summit Technology Academy Professional Nursing program. She performed a vision screening on Litton to help make sure his eyesight was up to par. It helps her learn nursing skills.
