International Baccalaureate Career-related Program (IBCP): Earn an IB Diploma through STA
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Career-related Program (CP) is a framework of international education that incorporates the vision and educational principles of the IB into a unique program specifically developed for students who wish to engage in career-related learning. Summit Technology Academy enables students to take career-related classes that apply to the IBCP endorsement. The IBCP endorsement is available for any students who attend one of the three Lee's Summit R-7 high schools and districts that participate in IBCP as these schools are IB certified. The career-related component of the IB Career-related Program can be completed by taking at least one course at Summit Technology Academy.

What is IB?
The International Baccalaureate Program is a two-year program primarily aimed at students aged 16–19. The program is one that provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education, and is accepted by many universities worldwide. It was developed in the early to mid-1960s in Geneva by a group of international educators. Following a six-year pilot program ending in 1975, a bilingual diploma was established.
